Countryside management is about conserving and enhancing all aspects of the countryside and our urban green spaces. It covers many different areas of work.

KSCP run an exciting range of activities for schools and youth groups to engage them with the natural world. All staff are DBS checked and first aid trained.

At KSCP we believe that involving local communities in projects happening in their area is very important. We have worked with community groups all over our Partnership area, helping them to deliver projects to benefit local people.

It’s vital for us to work with farmers and other landowners across our Partnership area if we are to conserve wildlife and habitats in the wider landscape and not just in protected sites. We can offer advice and services of all kinds.

Conserving wildlife is at the core of what we do. Our staff have a range of skills and experience and are able to work with protected species.

Visitors to the countryside want to know about the places they explore. Interpretation is the term we use for resources which help them to learn about the habitats, wildlife, history and other aspects of particular sites or localities.

The Partnership regards providing access to the countryside as a very important part of its role. We work to improve and maintain footpaths and other routes.

We believe art and creativity are a great way to encourage people to visit and be involved with their local natural areas, we try to incorporate this into our work in a variety of ways.
