Walking, Cycling and Access

Whether walking or cycling there are great green transport links, avoiding traffic, exhaust fumes and busy streets  running into and through Ashford’s Green Corridor.

There is a large network of paths  which is popular for strolling, dog walking and for getting through and around town. Some paths, such as the Stour Valley Walk, take you out into the countryside around Ashford and beyond. Most of the paths in Ashford are surfaced and provide access to many areas for wheelchairs and disability vehicles – however, please note these are usually shared use cycle and footpaths.
