Our Stour Officer, Lauren Baker, with the AquaLab vehicle

AquaLab is an exciting environmental education programme focusing on rivers.

We can deliver sessions on a wide range of river related topics including:

  • River dipping
  • Freshwater habitats and wildlife
  • Course of the Stour
  • Pollution
  • Life cycles
  • Water cycle

AquaLab can deliver sessions for schools, colleges and community groups, and activities can be delivered at riverside locations or in your own settings. Sessions can be a one-off activity or have an on-going involvement through a series of activities, for example, a presentation in school followed by visit to the River Stour for some river dipping or river experiments.

An AquaLab programme is available, providing more information about this resource. For sessions we will provide all of the relevant risk assessments, create an itinerary for your session and discuss with you the key learning outcomes you would like to achieve for your group during the session.

If you would be interested in an AquaLab activity for your school or community group, contact Lauren, the Our Stour Officer. Email: Lauren.Baker3@kent.gov.uk
