Special hornbeams at Hatch Park

We did some essential work at the Hatch Park Estate to prevent the sycamore taking over areas where special hornbeams are present.

It was and wasn’t hard work removing lots and lots of small (and not so small) sycamore saplings from around some recently re-pollarded ancient, special hornbeams in Hatch Park Estate.

The sun shone, the birds were tweeting around us, and the odd bluebell was in bloom.
