Environment Agency experts from the environment and monitoring team provided an excellent training event for KSCP and other river wardens. The day focused on identifying freshwater invertebrates and their habitat requirements. The EA imparted knowledge on pollution indicators as well as invasive species considerations. It was an informative training event with all participants learning new skills that will enable them to acsertain the health and diversity of their water bodies.
The KSCP is looking for voluntary River Wardens to monitor sites along the River Stour. If you would be interested in monitoring a stretch of river near you please get in touch. Full training will be provided.
