Fishing line (removal)

Over two days, staff and volunteers from KSCP took to Singleton Lake in a canoe to remove tangled and discarded fishing line.

Discarded fishing line threatens wildlife and pollutes the lake with plastic for years to come if not removed.

The work was funded by ABC/Aspire following the entanglement of a bird a few months ago.

We successfully removed well over 200 metres of line, countless lures, hooks, weights and floats
