Preventing Plastic Pollution Summary
We want to say a huge thank you to everyone who has helped us out on a litter pick in the last few months!
We have been working on the Preventing Plastic Pollution project with The Rivers Trust from August 2022 to March 2023 and we have been busy!
- 17 litter picks completed
- 234 bags of rubbish removed
- 114 large items removed (shopping trolleys, bikes, traffic cones etc)
- 195 volunteers involved
- 461 volunteer hours donated
We are incredibly grateful to everyone who has helped us clear up the riverbanks of the Stour recently.
We will continue to lead litter picks, trying our best to reduce the amount of rubbish polluting our waterways and seas. If you would like to get involved, please send us an email kentishstour@kent.gov.uk!
