Scrub at Long Rock

We’ve been busy clearing scrub from Long Rock SSSI! Our Canterbury group were joined by a keen team of corporate volunteers from local business RDDS Avionics.

We are controlling encroaching scrub in areas of the site with Hog’s Fennel. This work will protect Hog’s Fennel from competition and promote the growth of rough grasses, supporting the population of Fishers Estuarine moth that this SSSI received its designation to protect!
