IDB water course surveys

Each year, KSCP survey water courses for the Internal Drainage Board

It’s a general biodiversity survey, looking at plant diversity, water quality, indicator groups (like diving beetles) and priority species for Kent (such as water vole). The surveys influence the way the channels are managed, to protect and encourage biodiversity. KSCP’s Martin started surveying near Minster last Friday, finding this Sea Club Rush.
