Getting on top of invasive spread of Parrot’s Feather

Wading through a duckweed-filled ditch is few people’s idea of fun. Our Canterbury volunteers do exactly that each autumn to battle invasive Parrot’s Feather near St Nicholas-at-Wade, Thanet. We weren’t even lucky with the weather this year – rain and strong winds came in off the north sea both days we were there. We are slowly winning the battle, though, thanks to our remarkably resilient volunteers.
