Bilsington Hedge

This week the A-Team have been hedgerow heroes! They braved the wind and rain at @bilsingtonpriory to plant over 100m of native hedging! Well done team!

Hedges are vital habitats for a variety of species, including birds, insects and small mammals. Sadly, much of our hedgerows have been lost due to changes in land use and agricultural practices. This week’s task is part of a wider hedge planting project with @cpre which aims to increase the amount of hedge cover in the UK.

As part of @cpre ‘s hedgerow heroes project, we are aiming to plant nearly 1km of hedging at @bilsingtonpriory along with more hedging at other locations.
